the mud

I have good memories of playing in the dirt as a child. I played with friends in the pond across the street-the sandbar area we called the delta housed hours of fun.

So when the kids got creative yesterday I went with it.

A hole was created, which turned into a pond a stream and a lake. And holes can be filled back in later, you know?

We don't live in the country, so I'm thankful they are learning to walk barefoot and be creative with mud.

While the played I messed around with designs for flowerpots I recently painted. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon..
