Sunday we went to church and since Bryce had a runny nose we kept him in the service with us. We made it through the music portion (he was precious, holding our hands mimicking the songs and occasionally raising his hand. But we didn't last long in the sermon. I took him to the "crying room" where 2 Dads sat quietly with their kids. Bryce was not a happy camper. So I took him to the main area and sat. And he was still not quiet. I saw other children come out with their parents and sit quietly with their hands in their laps and I silently wondered "what calming juice do you give your children? are the kids older? advice, please?" I'm sure his not feeling good didn't help and he didn't understand why he couldn't go in the nursery. Do your kids sit with you in church? I'd love to hear about it!

Elijah is 6 and we are just now keeping him in church with us on Sunday nights. He is wonderful, finally, at the age of SIX. Special services like Christmas eve, etc. when the whole family attends- they are a disaster. Seriously. A disaster.
6--good to hear :) we will plan for that! our church ends nursery at 4. In 3 months he will either sit in church with us or he could go to sunday school while we go to church. do you guys have children's church?
