GA+SC

The kids and I flew down for ten days in April and Lee was able to join us for part of the trip. We enjoyed visiting family in Georgia and South Carolina and the kids especially enjoyed playing with their cousins who were visiting from Kenya.

While we were enjoying sunshine and shorts (there were a few "cold" fronts but very mild) Minnesota was hit with several snow storms. I felt for my friends in Minnesota but was so thankful to escape the cold.

Seth, Bryce and Kinsey's cousin, jumped into the picture on this one. The best photo of the batch!

We celebrated my Mom's 60th birthday and got to spend some time with my parents before my dad's surgery.

We had a good visit with Grammy and Papa Fain in Chapin, SC. We visited Grammy's thrift store, got ice cream and found a new playground. Kinsey was getting over a virus and fell asleep shortly after taking these photos :)

We enjoyed our time with Papa Jack and GGMa (who have chickens, the kids loved it) Here's a photo of four generations: my grandaddy, dad, lee and bryce.

Dad's brain/AVM surgery took place on a Thursday. This photo was taken the night before. So sweet. I'm so thankful it worked out for me to be with my mom during the surgery. Dad is recovering at home and felt well enough to go to a movie last weekend!I know this blog has been woefully neglected this year. Its been a year of adjustment as I opened my etsy shop + continue to blog on Life on Churchill. Thanks for hanging in there :) I'll try to blog a little more frequently at least about the big events!
