After waiting 3 months last week Lee, Bryce, and I headed to Minneapolis to a developmental clinic at Children's (thank you Jessica for watching Kinsey!). We met with a doctor there for an hour and a half, discussed Bryce's development and in the end the doctor said that the best diagnosis for Bryce is pdd-nos. The doctor felt Bryce was on tract cognitively, his is a relatively mild case that might get reassesed as he gets older.
Its funny how 6 months ago I never would have guessed Bryce being diagnosed on the spectrum. But God was faithful in putting some people in our path to prepare us for the idea. Though I was a little emotional about it the first day, its actually been very relaxing and encouraging to know more about our little guy.It gives clarity to why he dislikes vacations, combination foods, loud sounds and bright lights, the way he mixes up his pronouns. He is the same sweet little guy who loves to sit in our lap and read stories. Who runs around with friends after church. Who laughs at his own jokes...
Bryce you are such a gift! You were uniquely created by the Creator and we thank God for you!

so glad for you to finally have a diagnosis for Bryce. It helps in getting him the services he needs now and in the future. Y'all have been very good to get him OT and ST already. I am glad that you have been an advocate for Bryce and kept at it until you found answers. There are support groups that can help as well as parenting classes on how to parent children on the autism spectrum. Praying and praising all at the same time. Wow, 3 Page children on the Autism spectrum.
it really is going to be good, i think. we're just starting the process for more support, will probably blog more about it over the next few months.
What a blessing you are,Bryce ! We love you!!
