weekend

Thursday night I tried peanut butter with Bryce for the first time (his peanut allergy had been questioned by his DR). I should mention Lee was out of town (probably not my brightest move) but it was something we had put off for months. It was a relatively mild reaction (no need for an epi-pen, just benadryl) but still quite an adrenaline rush!

Then Thursday night around 3am our carbon monoxide detector started beeping. Nice fire fighters came over and checked our levels while confused/sleepy Bryce and Kinsey sat in the car. Everything was cleared and a new detector is on our list of things to get.

Friday Bryce started his speech class! It is a 2 1/2 hour, 1 morning a week class with other 3 year olds. Only 2 other toddlers and 2 speech pathologists, a wonderful ratio! They read Brown Bear Brown Bear then listened to audio and practiced repetition. They even did craft time with the Brown Bear theme. I checked out the book from the library for his "homework" over the break. We also went to a Christmas party Friday night and got to see some good friends!

Saturday we picked up Lee from the Airport-YAYY...We missed you Lee! And went straight to a friend's 3 year old birthday party. We were worn out Saturday so we decided to go to church Sunday morning.

The Sunday church service was so encouraging. It had been an exhausting week, and focusing on Christ/Jesus' birth is exactly what I needed to do. We got home and the kids were playing when Bryce decided to shut his bedroom door. Problem was, Kinsey's hand was gripping the hinge and he had tried to shut the door a couple of times. It looked pretty bad so I took her in for an x-ray (such a blessing that lee was home to stay with Bryce!) The doctor didn't see a break but said we might hear from a radiologist today if there is a fracture. So far no call so I think we are in the clear!

What reaction did he have to the PB? He can probably have items that say 'manufactured in a facility with..'. David reacts (throws up) everytime with egg as an ingredient (like a muffin), but he does fine with the ones that say 'manufactured in a facility with egg'. I'm agraid to see what would happen if I gave him actual egg!

yes we are fine with graham crackers, ritz ect. He got hives on his face and acted queasy/clingy/scratched at his throat. Benadryl treated it though--I bought a pack of the 1-dose packs. Does benadryl help david or does the throwing up do the trick?
